The Wirtz Gardens set

Het eerste boek over het werk van deze tuinarchitect met een selectie van private- en publieke tuinen. Jacques Wirtz begon zijn praktijk in 1948 en wordt nu opgevolgd door een volgende generatie. Het getoonde werk bevat naast residentiële opdrachten in binnen- en buitenland ook minder bekende openbare parken, o.a. de Koning Albert II laan te Brussel, de Carrousel tuinen in Parijs, maar ook recent werk zoals de tuinen van Alnwick Castle in Groot Brittanië. De fotografie is van de Chileense kunstfotograaf, Marco Valdivia, leerling van Bill Brandt, teksten van de Engelse auteur Patrick Taylor en layout door Christian Diener. Het werk wordt voorgesteld in 2 banden in een foedraal met een totaal van +/- 600 pagina's. The first book about the work of this landscape architect, with a selection of both private and public gardens. Jacques Wirtz started his practice in 1948 and is now succeeded by the next generation. The published work, apart from residential assignments in Belgium and abroad, also contains less known public parks, such as the Avenue Roi Albert II in Brussels and the Carrousel gardens in Paris, as well as more recent work, such as the Ainwick Castle gardens in the UK. The Chilean art photographer and Bill Bandt-follower Marco Valdivia took the photographs for this book, texts are from the English author Patrick Taylor, and layout was in the hands of Christian Diener. This book of app. 600 pages is presented in a case with two separate volumes.
